With your management commitment, we can help you launch an effective back safety program based on our Safer Lifting Strategy®.
To be successful, a comprehensive training program requires many elements. FLA has incorporated all these elements into its program.
ELEMENTS OF A SUCCESSFUL TRAINING PROGRAM
- Lectures
- Interactive and Videotaped Instructions
- Written Materials
- Demonstration Sessions Performed by a Qualified Trainer
|
 |
 |
The Train-the-Trainer teaches your company trainers the importance of a Back Safety Program and The Safer Lifting Strategy®. This program prepares
your employee trainers to train others in your company on proper lifting techniques, how to utilize correct workplace habits and how to wear and use
back supports.
This interactive session provides a much more in-depth view of Back Safety and Loss Prevention than typically required for employees.
Trainers need to know why the program is being implemented and the desired results. They require a more in-depth understanding of the back,
back supports, and proper utilization in the workforce.
This program is designed for large-scale, mandatory Loss Prevention Programs.

Now your trainers, the champions of your company, are empowered to bring The
Safer Lifting Strategy® to your employees. FLA provides a complete employee training kit, including a training manual, overhead transparencies, and certificates of completion.
The focal point of the kit is the back safety video, which presents proper lifting techniques, workplace habits, and use and care of back supports.
This kit, Model 70-980003, is available from your distributor and licensed for use with the FLA Safe-T-Lift® Products. Individual Safer Lifting Strategy®
Videos are also available: Model 70-950002 (English); Model 70-950206 (Spanish).

BACK BELTS REINFORCE TRAINING
Like other training programs, studies show education in proper lifting reduces incidents for about 30 days! Yes, that's all. The coupling of back supports to education extends that time
dramatically. Continual education, re-education, reminders and redundancy are key.
|
 |
It is incredible how much effort and money can go into a Back Safety Program only to
see people purchase cheap belts. In back supports, low cost does not equal value... Back supports work incredibly hard! A properly used back support will be engaged
and disengaged 50 to 100 times per day. That puts an enormous amount of stress on all the components, from closures to elastics. That's why the Safe-T-Lift®
is the standard by which quality is judged.
FLA publishes a monograph entitled:
"Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Selecting a Back Support Supplier."
|
| This informative booklet gives an overview of the Quality, Classification, and Functionality of the Safe-T-Lift®
Back Support. This monograph publishes the component specifications and allows you to evaluate the standards FLA sets for its products and the quality required for industrial application.
